Mike has the heart of a shepherd and finds himself in the role of being a lifelong student of God's Word. His life was shaped by a dad who was a minister and a grandfather who was a stout man of prayer. With a father's heart, his desire is train others up to be mighty in Christ for their own lives and also so that they can continue the commission, "Go ye forth and preach the gospel."

As the music pastor, Mike has written many of the songs used at NBC. The music is contemporary in style but is totally open hearted worship of God. There are times of rejoicing and fun and there are times when it is devout and reverent. Either way, it is Spirit led and Spirit filled.

It would be unfair to simply say that Mike is the Music Pastor. His role at NBC has him filling whatever need appears. Just like how he can switch from bass guitar to drums, he is apt to show up ready to fill the gap in just about any situation. It is this sort of dependability that marks his character and why his family, friends and NBC are honored to know such a great testimony of God.
